174 MNAs remained silent during PTI’s tenure, did not speak for a minute: PILDAT

Members including 84 of PTI, 48 of PML-N and 23 of PPP, expressed complete detachment

Out of the total 342 members of the National Assembly, 174 members remained silent during Imran Khan’s tenure and did not speak for a minute, according to the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency.

These members, including 84 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), 48 of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and 23 of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) expressed complete detachment from the proceedings of the National Assembly.

According to the report, in the fourth year of the 15th National Assembly, legislative activities saw a decline of eight percent.

At the end of the fourth parliamentary year of the 15th National Assembly, PILDAT released the performance report of the assembly based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

The session of the 15th National Assembly was held for 87 days in the fourth parliamentary year, till April 9, 2022, and the average attendance of MNAs was recorded at 67 percent.

During the fourth year of the National Assembly, Imran Khan attended only one sitting of the Assembly.
