20 million add up to new registered voters, says ECP data

The Election Commission of Pakistan has recently released updated data on the registered voters in the country. According to the latest figures, the total number of voters stands at 12,596,3598 (12.59 million 63 thousand 598).

It is worth noting that the total number of registered voters in the 2018 election was 105,960,000 (10 crore 59 lakh 60 thousand), indicating an increase of nearly 20 million voters.

Based on the data released by the Election Commission on Wednesday, the number of male voters across the country is 68,048,816 (6 crore 80 lakh 48 thousand 816), while the number of female voters is 57,914,782 (5 crore 79 lakh 14 thousand 782).

In terms of regional distribution, the total number of voters in Punjab is 71,600,639 (71.6 million 6 thousand 379), in Sindh it is 20,640,881 (2 million 64 lakh 88 thousand 841), in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa it is 21,508,256 (2 million 15 lakh 82 thousand 556), and in Balochistan it is 5,260,247 (52 lakh 60 thousand 247). The capital, Islamabad, has 1,025,575 registered voters.

Analyzing the male-to-female ratio, male voters make up 54.02% of the total, while female voters account for 45.98%.

When considering the age distribution of voters in Pakistan, there are 23,437,469 (2 crore 34 lakh 37 thousand 469) voters in the age group of 18 to 25 years. The number of voters aged 26 to 35 is 32,659,604 (3 crore 26 lakh 59 thousand 604), and the number of voters aged 36 to 45 is 27,764,245 (2 crore 77 lakh 64 thousand 245).

For the 2018 election, the Election Commission of Pakistan reported a total of 105,960,000 (10 crore 59 lakh 60 thousand) registered voters. Among them, 59,220,000 (5 crore 92 lakh 20 thousand) were male voters, and 46,730,000 (4 crore 67 lakh 30 thousand) were female voters. This represented a male-to-female ratio of 55.9% and 44.1%, respectively.
