The Indian Navy has become a burden on its own people. Since 2000, the Indian Navy has suffered 26 major accidents and loses one warship every five years, while every two years it also loses trained officers and soldiers. Due to the negligence, sub-standard and inadequate training of the captain, accidents continue.
According to Indian media reports, 21 officers and soldiers were killed in 11 accidents in seven months of 2014.
According to the Indian newspaper India Today, on March 8, 2023, an Indian Navy helicopter crashed in the Arabian Sea, on January 18, 2022, three sailors were killed in an explosion on INS Ranveer.
In October 2017, the only Indian nuclear submarine crashed due to negligence, in February 2014, two officers and seven sailors lost their lives in a fire in sub-marine Sindhuratna.
Indian Naval Chief DK Joshi had to resign as a result of the submarine accident.
In the last six years, Pakistan has detected Indian submarines in Pakistani waters four times and has presented evidence of the poor performance of the Indian Navy to the world.
The Indian people have raised the question whether the Indian army will be able to fight China or Pakistan.
