300 policemen to guard Ramazan Bazaars

The Police department of Lahore has completed security arrangements for 32 Ramazan bazaars that are to be set up across the city. According to police officials, about 300 officers and personnel of Lahore Police will be deployed at the bazaars.

DIG Operations Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan has said that full security will be provided to the 32 low-cost Ramazan bazaars. Model Town Division will have eight, Cantt seven, City Division six, Saddar six, Iqbal Town three while Civil Lines Division will have two Ramazan bazaars. About 300 officers and personnel of Lahore Police will be deployed there.

Khan said that divisional SPs, 24 SDPOs, 29 SHOs, 32 upper subordinates and 64 lady police officers will be on duty to keep the security intact. He further said that Dolphin Squad, PRU teams will patrol around Ramazan bazaars. Dr. Abid Khan said that before entering the Ramazan bazaars, every person will undergo a security check. He appealed to citizens to show discipline and cooperate with the officials during the security check.
