During the research phase of the film, the production team received valuable assistance from Renuka, a transgender woman. Renuka played a crucial role in providing insights into the culture, upbringing, and daily challenges faced by the transgender community. She introduced the filmmakers to various transgender individuals, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of their lives. Renuka also facilitated interactions between Siddiqui and transgender individuals to help him immerse himself in their experiences and portray his character authentically.
Saha expressed his gratitude for Renuka’s help in understanding the transgender community and their challenges, including medical processes and post-operation experiences. The writers of the film also spent time with transgender individuals to gain a fair understanding of their living situations, treatment options, daily lives, and lifestyles.
