4.3 magnitude earthquake hits Lahore

A few areas of Lahore and other cities in the Punjab province were affected by an earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, according to reports on Wednesday.

The earthquake was reported in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sharaqpur, Jaranwala, and other districts of Punjab province, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Center (NSMC).

The earthquake’s epicenter was about 20 kilometers from Sheikhupura city.

People exited their homes while reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba to quell the tremors. However, no casualties have yet been identified.

A 3.9-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck Khuzdar and the surrounding areas earlier on October 12. The earthquake’s depth was 20 kilometers, and it had an epicenter in the west, some 80 kilometers from Khuzdar.
