ACS Home Department Zafar Nasrullah Khan led the investigation into the Murree incident

Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Zafar Nasrullah Khan has been transferred from office with directions to report to the establishment division.

Khan has also been relieved of his additional duties as secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department.

Nasrullah Khan, a senior Pakistan Administrative Service officer, had investigated the Murree incident and presented a report on it to the ex-chief minister, Usman Buzdar. He led a three-member committee constituted by the Punjab chief secretary to probe the Murree incident.

There have been no developments on the matter till now.

Some officers have been suspended while others including the then commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Gulzar Shah, received a prized posting in the Cabinet Division Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) Secretary Khalid Nawaz Arby was also transferred. As per sources in the commission, Arby had requested the chief secretary of Punjab, Kamran Ali Afzal, to transfer him from the commission as his son wanted to appear in the PPSC examination.

Arby confirmed that he was transferred on his request. He said that he maintained transparency in the administrative matters of the PPSC.
