Senior lawyer and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan has condemned the police operation at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI Chairman’s residence at Zaman Park.

Addressing the media at Zaman Park Aitzaz Ahsan said that his and his brother’s houses were also situated in Zaman Park. He said that clearly police had come to attack and conduct operations.

Aitzaz Ahsan announced to challenge the police operation in court. He said that the response of the police force was completely violating the law. He said that if PTI would seek his help in this matter he will assist them as well in court.

He said that the senior police officials were supposed to understand that it was a residential area and not any “katcha area”. He said that Toshakhana had now become a joke.

The senior lawyer also claimed that the police had demolished the gate of his house as well and also took positions inside his residence.

He said that his house was attacked and the police entered there without seeking any permission.

Aitzaz Ahsan added that nobody could stop any politician through the use of force and history has proven that the use of force always backfired.

Earlier, Punjab police entered into Imran Khan’s residence in Zaman Park as an operation to clear the neighborhood was started on Saturday as the former premier left for Islamabad to appear before a court in the Toshakhana case.
