Aleema Khan launches campaign for Imran Khan’s release

SWAT: Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has begun a tour of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aimed at mobilizing party workers for a campaign demanding the release of the jailed former prime minister.

She started her visit from Chitral before arriving in Swat, where she addressed PTI workers at several locations, urging them to strengthen the party’s grassroots organization and remain united.

During her visit to Swat, Aleema Khan was welcomed by large crowds of PTI supporters and local party leaders at Mingora’s Sohrab Chowk, Mingora Bypass and Kabal tehsil. Supporters carrying PTI flags chanted slogans in favor of Imran Khan and expressed their continued loyalty to the party leadership.

Addressing workers at different gatherings, Aleema Khan said the people of Swat had consistently stood by PTI founder Imran Khan and had made significant sacrifices during difficult times, including arrests and imprisonment. She said these sacrifices were recognized and appreciated by the party leadership.

She urged party leaders and workers to intensify peaceful political efforts for Imran Khan’s release and continue promoting the party’s political vision. “The current situation places a great responsibility on every party worker to remain united and play an active role in supporting Imran Khan’s cause,” she said.

Aleema Khan also thanked the people of Swat for their warm welcome, saying their commitment and affection for Imran Khan reflected the strong bond between the party and its supporters in the region.

Earlier, on her arrival at Mingora Bypass, Aleema Khan received a rousing welcome from PTI workers led by former Swat mayor Shahid Ali Khan. A large number of supporters gathered at the venue, chanting slogans in favor of Imran Khan and reaffirming their commitment to the party.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahid Ali Khan praised the enthusiasm of PTI workers and said the people of Swat had always supported what he described as principled politics. He termed Imran Khan “the voice of genuine political change and public rights” in Pakistan.

Aleema Khan concluded by thanking supporters for their enthusiastic reception, saying that the public’s trust and support remained the greatest strength behind Imran Khan’s political struggle.
