Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has stated that Arab states will act to their full potential if Tehran were to obtain nuclear weapons.

“If Iran gets an operational nuclear weapon, all bets are off,” Prince said in an interview at World Policy Conference in Abu Dhabi.

Prince stated that the area in which we are located is extremely dangerous. The regional states always consider how they can protect themselves.

Prince Faisal stated that Riyadh still had doubts about the Iran nuclear deal but that it backed efforts to resurrect the agreement as long as it was only the beginning of a bigger agreement with Tehran.

“The signs right now are not very positive, unfortunately,” Prince said.

Prince also added that it would be quite pleasant to be able to believe that the Iranians do not have any interest in developing nuclear weapons, as we have heard from them. Right now we require more assurance.

Gulf Arab nations pushed for a more robust accord to address their worries about Iran’s missile development, the drone program, and network of regional allies.
