All is set to hold four-day Thar Flood Relief Jeep Rally from Jan 4

Arbab Lutufullah, the special assistant to Sindh chief minister on sports, addressing the news conference on Saturday said that they were set to organize a four-day Thar Flood Relief Jeep Rally from January 4 to January 8 in Tharparkar.

Arbab said that the event would be attended by national and international personalities on his invitation. He said that known keep racers of the country had already been invited to take part in the event and the process of registration was still on and hoped that this year more racers would take part keeping in view previous successful event held last year.

“We have made strict decisions to protect the wildlife on the route of the rally anyone if found guilty of hunting or hurting any rate species would not be fined accordingly but also would also banned from taking part in the event” said adding he said that the game watchers would be deployed along the track to keep the strict watch to ensure the safety of the Wildlife. He said that they had always tried their best protect the wildlife and the game sanctuaries of the desert region of Tharparkar.

Arbab Lutuf said that the track for the jeep rally had been prepared after seeking the permission of the local landowners adding he said that only few people who did want healthy activities in the desert district were opposing the organization of such events which aimed to promote the tourism and culture of the desert region. Arbab said that the amount generated from historic event would be spent on the rehabilitation of the flood-survivors of the province. He said that besides, the jeep race and other sports events would also be held to provide entertainment to the people of the district. “I am also trying to promote the traditional sports of the province under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on the directions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari,” he added.
