Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the united opposition and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement have reached an agreement.

In a tweet early on Wednesday, Bilawal stated that the MQM and PPP’s Central Executive Committee would ratify the agreement.

He added that they would “share details with the media in a press conference tomorrow [sic: today]”.

Late night on Tuesday, a meeting was held between an opposition delegation consisting of Khawaja Asif, Akhtar Mengal, Sherry Rehman, Murad Ali Shah and MQM led by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

The meeting was later joined by PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The statement by Bilawal Bhutto came at the same time MQM lawmaker Faisal Sabzwari stated on Twitter that the agreement between the united opposition and the MQM had been finalized and that following ratification by the MQM Raabta Committee and PPP CEC, the details would be released to media.
