Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi alleged United States President Joe Biden of inciting chaos in Iran by supporting protestors demonstrating against Mahsa Amini’s death in custody.

According to media reports, Raisi while referring to the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomenei stated, “The remarks of the American president, who is inciting chaos, terror, and the destruction of another country, serve as a reminder of the eternal words of the founder of the Islamic republic, who called America the Great Satan.”

Raisi further added that the opponent’s plot must be met with effective solutions to people’s problems.

Earlier on Friday, Biden, during his speech to the protestors, stated that the United States stands with the brave women of Iran.

Biden went on to say that what these protests awoke in Iran is astonishing. It awoke something that will go away for a long time.

On Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Affairs spokesman Nasser Kanani, regarding Biden’s comments, stated, “Iran is too strong for its will to be swayed by the interference… by a politician tired of years of failure.”

The protests in Iran have led to the death of more than 100 demonstrators while hundreds have been arrested. The 22-year-old Mahsa Amini was detained for not wearing “proper attire” by Iran’s morality police.
