Amidst massive criticism, Yasir Nawaz offends his wife instead of supporting her!

By now, the entire country knows the reason why famous anchor, Nida Yasir, made it to the headlines only recently and got endlessly trolled. Yasir made a mistake in one of the episodes of her morning show, that of asking some absurd questions from her guests. The guests happened to be young Pakistani students who had succeeded in manufacturing the country’s very own Formula One racing car. The NUST students made it to the show in expectation of being asked well thought-out questions for a better promotion of their successful effort. However, the show turned out to be a complete disappointment when the anchor showed ignorance regarding even the basic information about the racing car. Her questions reflected a severe lack of research on the topic she was supposed to discuss, eventually making it to social media and receiving massive criticism. While some made fun of her illogical questions, some schooled her for not doing her proper homework. Several memes came to the fore based on Nida Yasir’s video clip, thus ridiculing and insulting her in every way possible.

It so happened that while the anchor person was already being targeted from all sides, her husband, Yasir Nawaz, who himself is a popular actor and director, made a video parodying his wife and uploaded it on the internet. While the viewers enjoyed it and took it as an effort on the part of Yasir to help the chaos subside by treating it lightly, Nida Yasir got quite offended.

Her first response to the video was recorded as a statement in which she was found saying that she did not find her husband’s video funny at all. Two days ago, another news popped up, telling that Nida Yasir does not follow her husband anymore on social media.

While the entire scenario has transformed into quite a humorous chaos for the majority of the people, we need to revisit Yasir Nawaz’s act of parodying his wife and think if he really should have done that. Nida Yasir, who was neither approached to tell her side of the story, nor was asked how much time is provided to her for research by the producers, was already going through a trolling so massive that it could make anyone fall into severe depression. Her husband, on the other hand, instead of making it to the social media in his wife’s support, added to her already on-going insults by mocking her and made a different use of the web altogether. Initially, it did occur to us that Yasir Nawaz is trying to keep things under control following what was happening on the internet with his wife, but  Nida Yasir’s response gives us a different picture of the scenario, that of the wife expecting support but being affronted instead.
