The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday intercepted and arrested a Doha-bound passenger from Islamabad International airport and recovered 850 grams of hashish from his possession.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the arrested passenger was travelling to Doha from the new Islamabad Airport. He was caught with the drugs that were concealed in the walnuts he was carrying in his luggage.
While talking to Minute Mirror, the ANF spokesperson said, “The arrestee is also suspected to have drug capsules in his stomach, which is under further investigation.”
A case against the man has been registered under the anti-narcotics act, while further investigation is underway.
Separately, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) claimed to have rounded up three members of a racket involved in supplying hashish in the city. The ANF team, on a tip-off, searched a rickshaw near Karachi’s Johar Chowrangi and recovered two packets of hashish.
The team arrested the three accused travelling in a rickshaw.
