Another alleged audio leak of PM Shehbaz emerges

Premier and unidentified person talk in the new sound bite about race to become SAPM

The season of audio leaks seems to be far from over as another alleged leak of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emerged on social media.

In the alleged audio leak that has surfaced on social media, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and an unidentified person are talking about the race for special assistants to the prime minister (SAPM) of the allies.

In the purported audio, the unidentified person told the prime minister that Ayaz Sadiq was saying that people of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were also asking for shares from ‘SAPM’, to which the premier said that Bilawal had spoken to him.

The person then tells PM Shehbaz to look into the matter as the government has already appointed Zafar Mehmood and Jahanzaib.

The unidentified person then tells the PM that if PPP is accommodating then the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will also ask for shares. He added that the MQM was proposing the name of Malik Ahmed Ali, who had a critical role in the deal.

So far several audio leaks have surfaced. The sound bites have allegedly featured government officials and PTI leaders.

The PM has already formed a high-power investigation committee to probe the issue, particularly the leaks that involved the PM House.

Former prime minister Imran Khan has also demanded the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate the bugging of the PM House.
