Army Chief extends full support to economic recovery plan

    Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said that Pakistan Army fully supports the government’s efforts to implement the plan for economic revival.

    The Army chief said that Pakistan Army considers the basis for the country’s socio-economic prosperity and regaining its rightful place in the world.

    Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chairing the high level meeting for country’s economic revival, said that the present government has inherited an economy standing on the verge of destruction, through bold decisions, we are bringing back from crises to construction and development. He said , “We are facing huge challenges right now.”

    PM Shahbaz Sharif said that foreign investment is key for economic revival, let’s resolve to work together to the fullest of our abilities, do not let our attention be diverted, we can change the fate of Pakistan and the people, we have to work continuously and hard.

    Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munir, Chief Ministers and federal ministers attended the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

    Prior to the meeting, the Army Chief called on the Prime Minister and discussed the internal and security situation of the country.

    Later, chief ministers, governors, agriculture, IT ministers and the economic team also attended the meeting. In this important meeting, the economic situation of the country was reviewed in detail.
