Arshad’s post-mortem report was provided to his family: Authorities

The post-mortem report of senior Pakistani journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif who was murdered in Kenya has been handed over to his mother in Islamabad.

On the other hand, the post-mortem report of Arshad Sharif has also been shared with the Kenyan authorities, the Independent Police Oversight Authority of Kenya, IG Police Kenya and the Director of Public Prosecution.

According to a media report the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has handed over the post-mortem report to his mother. FIA Senior Director Athar Waheed met Arshad Sharif’s mother. He also informed the family about the progress made so far in the case.

It was the right of Arshad Sharif’s mother to know the truth and the family has every legal right to access the post-mortem.

According to the post-mortem report Arshad Sharif had torture marks on his body at the time of post-mortem in Pakistan. A copy of the report was received in Kenya through Pakistan’s official diplomatic channels.
