President Zardari Receives Guard of Honour During Kyrgyzstan Visit, Holds Talks with President Japarov

President Asif Ali Zardari received a warm official welcome from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, where he was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour before holding high-level bilateral talks aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

Following the welcome ceremony, President Zardari and President Japarov led delegation-level discussions focused on enhancing relations across a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, industry, education, science, technology, and cultural exchanges.

Speaking after the meeting, President Zardari expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended by the Kyrgyz leadership and people. He described Kyrgyzstan as a beautiful country and said he was delighted to visit, emphasizing the longstanding friendship and brotherly ties shared by Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Pakistani president highlighted the importance of closer cooperation in promoting regional peace, stability, and economic development. He said the two nations have significant opportunities to expand bilateral trade and strengthen commercial partnerships. He also stressed the need to work together to encourage industrial growth, attract investment, and explore new avenues of economic collaboration that would benefit both countries.

President Zardari noted that cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan should continue to grow through regular dialogue and practical initiatives. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Kyrgyzstan and expressed confidence that stronger economic and diplomatic engagement would contribute to mutual prosperity.

President Sadyr Japarov also reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Pakistan, describing the bilateral partnership as an important priority for his country. He said Kyrgyzstan values its friendly and brotherly relations with Pakistan and is determined to elevate cooperation to a higher level.

President Japarov identified several sectors with strong potential for future collaboration, including mining, agriculture, textiles, healthcare, and information technology. He said both governments would work together to expand cooperation in these fields while encouraging greater business engagement and investment opportunities.

The Kyrgyz president also underlined the importance of promoting stronger people-to-people connections, particularly among young people, through increased exchanges and collaborative initiatives. In addition, he emphasized expanding cooperation in education, scientific research, and cultural activities to foster closer ties between the citizens of both countries.
