PTI Chairman Imran Khan faced an assassination attempt while his long march was passing from Wazirabad city.
On Thursday, Imran Khan was taken to a safe place after an alleged attacker opened fire on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container.
According to media reports, Imran Khan got shot in the right leg and was given medical care right after.
Former governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Senator Faisal Javed also got injured in firing along with three other members of PTI. Police have taken alleged attacker in custody.
IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar took notice of the firing incident near Imran Khan’s container in Wazirabad and asked RPO Gujarat to submit a report. IG Punjab also directs DPO Gujarat to reach immediately.
IG Punjab said that every aspect of the incident will be investigated and the accused who opened fired will be brought to justice.
According to PTI leaders Imran Khan is being moved to Shaukat Khanum Lahore for further medical checkup.

One dead is identified as Moazzam Gondal. Ahmed chatta, a son of a former minister and senior politician Hamid Nasir Chatta is critically injured.
Protests erupt in different parts of countries after an assassination attempt on Imran Khan. Supporters of PTI are on roads condemning the unfortunate attack.
According to media reports, PTI supporters are protesting in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Quetta.
An alleged attacker in a confessional video said that I have attacked Imran Khan because he was misguiding people and couldn’t tolerate this. I tried to kill him since he started his long march from Lahore.
He said no one is with me and behind me, I was alone, I came on my bike.
