Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has criticised Noreen Niazi, the sister of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), over her recent remarks, saying they have sparked anger among the public.
Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, Tarar said Noreen Niazi was attempting to protect her brother’s politics by questioning Marka-e-Haq. He alleged that such statements were being highlighted by Indian media and used against Pakistan.
The minister said all political parties, governments, opposition groups, public offices, and institutions exist because of Pakistan. He stressed that the country’s interests should always come before politics and that nothing holds greater importance than Pakistan.
Tarar claimed that PTI’s politics had lost public support and that the party was facing internal divisions. He alleged that the party had split into different groups and was struggling with internal disputes.
He also criticised the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alleging that it had failed to address public issues. He claimed the provincial administration remained indifferent to the problems faced by citizens despite what he described as lavish government spending.
The information minister said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has always believed in serving the people and remains committed to public welfare through its political agenda.
