Barring ‘Audio Leaks Commission’ proves CJP’s guilt, says Maryam

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president and chief organizer Maryam Nawaz in her tweet has again criticized the Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial by saying that barring the “Audio Leaks Commission” proves CJP’s guilt.

The federal government had set up a commission, under Justice Qazi Faez Isa, to probe into the audio leaks. The commission had held its first meeting as well.

However, the CJP Bandial, while hearing the petitions over the method of setting the commission had stopped the commission from further work and the further hearing of the case was adjourned till May 29.

Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif stated in a message on Twitter, “The chief justice’s stopping the commission from functioning is proof and admission of his guilt. The person sitting on the highest seat of justice is using his position to avoid accountability.”

She further added, “If you and your mother-in-law are clean, shouldn’t you face the law? Or, being the Chief Justice, the law does not apply to you? Umar Atta Bandial deserves to be punished for making a mockery of the law and making a spectacle of the judiciary to save his family.”
