Bashir Memon set free in all cases against him

FIA tells court Bashir Memon not wanted in any case

A sessions court on Tuesday declared former Federal Investigation Agency chief Bashir Memon free of all charges after submission of an investigation report.

FIA was investigating it’s former head in multiple cases including money laundering.

On Tuesday, the agency completely changed its stance and told the court that Memon was not wanted in any case.

The FIA submitted a report which said that Bashir Memon was innocent.

After the report and submission of the officials of the agency, an additional district and sessions judge acquitted Bashir Memon in all cases against him.

Following the decision of his acquittal, Bashir withdrew his application for interim bail.

Earlier, Memon has said that he was innocent but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government implicated him in the false cases. He had said that he was the target of former ruling party for not obeying its orders.

He had said on several occasions that the cases against Shehbaz were weak and nothing could be proved out of them.

When the Minute Mirror contacted him to get his view on the subject matter, he did not say anything and chose not to respond.
