The Kerala Story makers have recently unveiled the poster of their upcoming film titled “Bastar.” Sudipto Sen and Vipul Amrutlal Shah, known for their previous collaboration on The Kerala Story, have once again joined forces to bring another gripping and potentially controversial movie to the audience. Sunshine Pictures took to Twitter to share the first look at the film, accompanied by a caption that hinted at a gripping true incident that would leave viewers speechless. The release date of Bastar is set for April 5, 2024.

The film’s poster features the phrase “Hidden truth that will take the nation by storm,” suggesting that the story will shed light on a significant and impactful event. Director Sudipto Sen had previously hinted at the project during an interview with ETimes, revealing that Bastar would focus on the Maoist movement in India, spanning fifty years. Sen expressed his satisfaction in working with producer Vipul Shah on The Kerala Story and expressed excitement about their collaboration on this new venture.

The Kerala Story garnered attention in the past for its controversial subject matter, exploring themes of ISIS, terrorism, and religion. Now, the director-producer duo aims to create another thought-provoking film with Bastar, based on true incidents.
