BHC delegation calls on PPP leader Mian Amir Hasan

British High Commission (BHC) three member delegation called on Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Barrister Mian Amir Hasan at his residence here on Wednesday. The British High Commission officials comprising Harry Thomson, Kezia Kexley and Talal Raza discussed with PPP leader various issues including health and education where both sides could strengthen further relations.

Mian Amir Hasan paid tribute to the late Britain’s queen Elizabeth II and Ms Benazir Bhutto. He said both the countries have strong historical and friendly relations. “British Pakistanis have an important role in the development of Great Britain which is very important in bilateral ties,” said Mian Amir, adding that Britain played an important role in the stability of democracy and democratic institutions in Pakistan. They also discussed the problems of Pakistani students studying in the UK. At the end, Barrister Amir Hasan presented a gift to Harry Thomson and Kezia Kexley.
