A battle of statements has started over the postponement of visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman (MBS) to Pakistan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and ministers of the federal government have started blaming each other for being the cause of the visit.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that MBS’s visit was postponed due to ongoing long march of PTI. While PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that MBS has cancelled the visit of Asia and not only Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif stated in a tweet that
Imran Khan had caused cancellation of the visit of the Chinese President during his first sit-in seven years ago and now the announcement of the sit-in on November 21 has caused the postponement of the visit of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Defence Minister also stated in his tweet that Imran has nothing to think except of his own interests. He stated that the interests of the country and the nation have no meaning for him and he has been working on an agenda against the country.

On the other side former federal minister and PTI’s senior leader Fawad Chaudhry also took on to twitter to reply to Khawaja Asif.

Fawad referring to Asif stated that the first thing is that he is an important minister of the country and his moral condition is that he has no problem in lying. He stated that MBS has postponed the Asia tour not just the visit to Pakistan.

In the second tweet PTI leader stated that the second fact was that analysts of other countries were giving opinions to their rulers and their analysis was that the relationship with the current rulers will show detachment from the people of Pakistan and therefore any country that is interested in long-term relations with Pakistan will keep a distance from the current rulers.

Pakistan Peoples Party’s senior Senator Farhatullah Babar also took on toTwitter to addtess the issue. He stated that postponement of visit of Saudi Crown Prince was a moment of reflection. He asked if there were parallels with the postponement of President Xi scheduled visit to Pakistan in 2014?
