President of the United States Joe Biden chose not to respond to the former president Donald Trump’s indictment, which a Manhattan grand jury returned on Thursday following a protracted investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

When questioned by Fox News about whether he thought the accusations were politically motivated, Biden said he had nothing to say about Trump.

However, the White House had not responded to the allegations against Trump in any public capacity.

Trump’s hush money payments made before the 2016 presidential election are the focus of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s inquiry.

According to CNN, Trump is the first former president to be charged with a crime due to allegations that he was engaged in the hush money given to adult film star Stormy Daniels. More than 30 counts of business fraud might be included in the accusations against Trump.

Trump asserted that he was totally innocent of all claims and denied any misconduct. Along with promising to continue running for president in 2024 despite being charged with a crime, he charged Manhattan District Attorney Vance with “political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history.”

The former president also requested financial support from his followers to fund his legal defense, and since making the request, he has raised almost $2 million.
