Biden warns Russia of using nuclear weapons in Ukraine

United States President Joe Biden on Tuesday stated that Russia would be making an “incredibly serious mistake” by using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

As per an Anadolu Agency report, while responding to a question regarding Russian accusations about Ukraine’s plan of using a “dirty bomb” attack on its soil Biden said he is not yet certain that it is a sham operation. However, this would be a grave mistake.

However, Ukraine also alleged Russia of planning to use a “dirty bomb” against its territory.

As a response to which US Department of State Spokesperson Ned price stated that Russia would face serious ramifications if it were to use a “dirty bomb” or nuclear weapon against Ukraine.

Price said should Russia use an improvised nuclear device against Ukraine; it “would certainly be another example of President (Vladimir) Putin’s brutality.”

However, Price didn’t highlight what kind of response the US is considering for Russia.

Meanwhile, western powers rejected the Russian allegation regarding Ukraine’s plan to use the bomb on its soil.

Defence ministers of western countries in a joint statement and separate telephone calls told Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, “We all reject Russia’s transparently false allegations that Ukraine is preparing to use a dirty bomb on its territory.”
