Singer Bilal Maqsood released his first solo song over the weekend, a year after he and Faisal Kapadia bid goodbye to their collective band, Strings.
Titled as ‘Naya Naya’, the song holds true to its name, as it introducers the listeners to an altogether new journey which Bilal Maqsood has embarked upon after years of staying in a band. This time, he is alone and abroad, yet ready to accept whatever life has to dole out.
“My new journey” is how Bilal Maqsood describes this new venture of his, adding that his first solo song is dedicated to all of his listeners, and that he addresses them through it.
“I’m talking to my amazing audience without whom I’m nothing. It’s a new life for me and I cannot deny the fact that you all are an integral part of my new journey,” said the singer and music composer.
It was in March 2021 that Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia announced that their band was coming to an end, and with mutual consultation instead of a row as usually happens with bands. The two left millions of people saddened who had grown accustomed to listening to their unique creations in the genre of pop music.
