Bilawal Bhutto invites US congresswoman to Pakistan

Bilawal Bhutto invited the US congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee to visit Pakistan. Addressing a Congressional Pakistan Caucus on video-link Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the relationship between Pakistan and the United States of America had been strengthened due to the important role played by the Pakistani community living in US.

Bilawal Bhutto said that multilateralism and the United Nations (UN) are important in Pakistani foreign policy. US congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee said that in order to improve the economic conditions in Pakistan she would write a letter to International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Pakistani envoy to US Masood Khan, Democrat leaders Tahir Javed, Asif Riaz Qadir and others also participated in the meeting.

Bilawal previously during his visit to US met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who had shown interest in mending ties between the two countries. Blinken also assured improved trade and economic ties with Pakistan.
