To cover the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which will take place in Goa, India, a group of Pakistani media has arrived in India. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to leave for India tomorrow.
The foreign ministers of Pakistan, China, and Russia will also be present at the two-day meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s foreign ministers.
The Pakistani foreign minister is making his first trip to India since 2011. There were no signs of any bilateral talks during the visit of the Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to media sources, the summit would consider draft papers and decisions connected to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as well as significant problems on the international and regional agenda.
Civil Aviation Authority seeks India’s approval of air route
In order to arrange Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s travel to Goa, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has contacted the Indian Civil Aviation Authority.
The Indian government has yet to grant Pakistan’s request for an air route.
According to sources, Bilawal’s jet has been offered the choice to fly to Goa from Islamabad or Karachi through Indian airspace.
