Bilawal gets call from US counterpart

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday shared a tweet claiming that he received a call from his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken.

“Received call from @SecBlinken grateful for warm felicitations on my assumption of office. Exchanged views on: -Strengthening mutually beneficial, broadbased relationship -Promotion of peace,development & security -Agreed engagement with mutual respect is the way forward,” he tweeted.

The official statement issued from Bilawal House to the media also confirmed the telephonic conversation between the two leaders. Foreign Minister Bilawal will likely undertake a visit to the United States (US) this month, media reports have said.

They said the date for his trip to Washington is being finalized. During his visit, he would hold meetings with key US officials, the sources said.
