Bilawal, Nawaz second meeting in 24 hours

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday held the second meeting with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in London within 24 hours.

Nawaz hosted an Iftar dinner in honor of Bilawal. The two leaders discussed political and national issues during their meetings. Present in the meeting were Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Ishaq Dar and Hussain Nawaz.

In their meeting a day earlier, the two leaders had expressed their determination to move forward with mutual understanding and consensus in national political affairs. Bilawal congratulated Nawaz over victory in the elections for the prime minister and Punjab chief minister that saw his brother Shehbaz Sharif and nephew Hamza Shehbaz occupy both the offices.

The two leaders, according to the PPP media cell, discussed the overall political situation in the country and expressed their determination to move forward with mutual understanding and consensus in national political affairs. Bilawal and Nawaz also held a joint press conference, where the latter rued the economic situation of the country and the plight of the rupee against the dollar.

He said it would take a lot of time to stabilize the economy, saying it is not an easy task. Nawaz criticized the deterioration of the political discourse in the country, saying he had never before seen “the environment created by Imran and the PTI”.
