Bilawal pledges to follow BB’s vision, philosophy

Zardari says he is still being guided by philosophy of Benazir, who he says was a symbol of patience and endurance

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Benazir Bhutto’s vision and philosophy of reconciliation is a feasible strategy for domestic and international issues as well as a world’s shared legacy.

In his message issued by Media Cell Bilawal House on the eve of the 15th martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto, Chairman PPP paid glowing tribute to her and said that we remember her every day and get guidance from her vision and ideology, adding that she was a charismatic leader with an understanding far ahead of her time, which is born in centuries. “Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto always taught never to hate anyone and to forgive others,” he added.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari briefly referred to the services rendered by Daughter of the East, saying that she was the architect of the democratic struggle in Pakistan, as well as the defender of the rights of the downtrodden classes and minorities, the pioneer of the practical struggle for the development and empowerment of women in the country, an advocate of civil liberties, advocated harmony and unity among federal units and was an unquestionable symbol of federalism. “It is also the achievement of Benazir Bhutto’s ideology that the democratic forces in the country today are on the same page and are determined to tackle the challenges facing the nation,” he said.

He reiterated his determination that the PPP, while strictly adhering to the ideology and philosophy of Benazir Bhutto, will continue its struggle to eradicate poverty, hunger, and unemployment from the country, and establish a society based on tolerance, equality, and brotherhood. He further stated that PPP is also determined to continue its struggle to make Pakistan a strong democratic federal country and a role model for the Islamic world, to ensure social as well as economic justice by strengthening parliament and democracy.

Meanwhile, former president and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in his message on the eve of Benazir Bhutto’s 15th martyrdom anniversary said that he could not neglect the mission of Benazir Bhutto even in his sleep. He said he was guided by her politics and was still being guided by her philosophy. Zardari said that no one else faced the difficulties that Benazir Bhutto had faced for the sake of the constitution and democracy. She was a symbol of patience and endurance.

Zardari said that Benazir Bhutto bravely resisted the barbaric and brutal dictators. We are strong and steadfast on her ideology because of her teachings. Asif Zardari said that the continuation of democracy was a beautiful dream of Ms Bhutto, and by the grace of the Almighty Allah, that dream was fulfilled.

Asif Ali Zardari said that the announcement of the institutions to be apolitical is also a realization of the dream of Benazir Bhutto and it would give stability to democracy and establish the country’s credibility. Asif Ali Zardari said that they were striving to make the country a society free from all kinds of extremism, where there was the light of knowledge, jobs for the people, equal opportunities for the youth to move forward, women free from the shackles of fear, and minorities with a respectable place in the society. This will be the Pakistan envisioned by Benazir Bhutto.
