Bilawal wants PPP’s Mayors in Karachi, Hyderabad

PPP Chairman urges MQM-P to participate in local bodies elections

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman, has said that Hyderabad’s mayor would be a PPP worker and hopefully Karachi’s mayor in tomorrow’s local body elections will also be a PPP candidate.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari speaking to a TV channel said that PPP has been waiting for these local body elections for a long. He said that they wanted the polls to take place but they were postponed because of floods and Corona.

PPP Chairman said that the candidates for January 15 polls have been nominated for each union council in Karachi. He urged the citizens to cast their ballots to a significant number of people.

He said that despite their best efforts they were unable to convince Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) to take part in the polls. He requested MQM-P to participate in elections and not give up.

Bilawal said that they have attempted to eliminate the reservations of MQM-P. He added that the local government system should stay the same so that everyone may collaborate for the system’s improvement.
