One person lost their life while 10 others were injured following a blast in Quetta on Saturday.
According to media reports, the blast occurred at the city’s Kandhari Bazar.
Spokesperson of the Civil Hospital Quetta Dr. Wasim Baig confirmed that one person had died and 10 had been wounded.
Moreover, the Counter Terrorism Department’s spokesperson stated to media that the blast was caused by an explosive-laden motorcycle.
The area of the blast has been secured by law enforcement agencies and investigations are underway.
The chief minister of the province, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, has directed that the injured receive the best medical treatment.
He also said that the security measures in Quetta should be improved, adding that steps would be taken to make sure that people’s lives and properties are protected.
