A case has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan over yesterday’s violence in Lahore.

The case had been registered against Imran Khan on the complaint of DSP Raiwind.

According to the text of the FIR, a group of 3,400 people, including armed men, created a ruckus, were threatening the national security institutions, and PTI workers continued to threaten the institutions at the behest of Imran Khan, Hassan Niazi, Farrukh Habib, Fawad Chaudhry, Hammad Azhar, Mehmood-ur-Rashid and Ijaz Chaudhry.

According to the FIR, PTI protesters pelted stones and batons at the police, in which 13 police officers and personnel were injured.

It may be recalled that the PTI announced to take out a rally yesterday to express solidarity with the constitution and the judiciary.

However, Section 144 was imposed by the provincial government and in violation of which 37 PTI workers were arrested.

A police spokesman said that 11 personnel, including two DSPs, were injured in attacks by PTI workers in Lahore, while the PTI also alleged the death of one of its workers in alleged police violence.
