Rawalpindi: Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, visited General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, where he held a high-level meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.
Upon his arrival at GHQ, General Haykal was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent, reflecting the significance of the visit and the warm military ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, both military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security environment, and avenues for strengthening defence cooperation.
