Chef Salt Bae bans from major football tournament

Dubai-based Chef Salt Bae has been banned from major football tournaments after upsetting behaviour at Qatar’s FIFA world cup final.

After the FIFA championship, Salt Bae was the subject of a lot of conversation and not in a good way.

He was shown in pictures and videos uploaded on social media snatching trophies from players’ hands, posing with them, and biting another player’s medal. Many of these posts were made by him.

According to the organization’s official Twitter account on Wednesday, the celebrity chef has been prohibited from participating in the 2023 Open Cup title game, which will feature roughly 100 teams from various levels.

The tweet received hundreds of retweets and positive comments, with approximately 17 million users having seen it.

Fans had been disappointed by these activities and publicly expressed their disgust online.

Many people questioned how the Turkish restaurateur even got onto the field.

They also brought up the fact that Salt Bae violated FIFA regulations because only tournament winners and people like FIFA officials and leaders of the state are allowed to hold the trophy.

According to AFP, FIFA is investigating the matter.
