Speaking at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said recent developments have demonstrated that “military means cannot solve any problem,” urging all parties to pursue dialogue instead of escalation.
“The use of force by the United States, Israel, and Iran has proven that it cannot resolve disputes and will only complicate the situation further,” Lin said, referring to the prolonged conflict that has now stretched beyond three months.
He noted that the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States remain at a “crucial stage,” warning that any renewed military action could push the region closer to wider instability. China stressed that no side should take steps that would reignite open conflict.
Lin Jian also referenced recent reports of ceasefire violations in Lebanon, expressing concern that ongoing strikes risk undermining fragile diplomatic efforts. He urged respect for sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity across the region.
