CNG users fail to escape price hike

The government has increased the price of CNG from five to six percent across the country.

The gas value of supply to the CNG consumer has been increased for the purpose of sales tax.

According to a notification issued on Thursday, the value of supply to the consumer for the purpose of charging sales tax from CNG stations by the gas transmission and distribution companies was increased.

In KP, Balochistan and Potohar regions, the value of the supply of gas was increased to Rs140 per kilogram from Rs134, an increment of almost four percent.

In the second region which includes Sindh and Punjab, the value increased to Rs135 per kilogram from Rs 128, an increment of five to six percent.
