Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from January 4 to 10, the military’s media wing announced on Thursday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS will be meeting the senior leadership of both brotherly countries to discuss matters of mutual interest, military-to-military cooperation, and bilateral relations focusing on security-related subjects.
The COAS Asim Munir met with Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), where they talked about issues of mutual interest.
The Saudi minister commenced the meeting by congratulating Gen. Asim Munir on his appointment as the new army chief.
