Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir have held a meeting.
The prime minister and the Army Chief met at the Prime Minister’s House in which Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was briefed on the law and order situation in the country, a media report has claimed.
In the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Army Chief it was decided to convene a meeting of the National Security Committee, which will be convened tomorrow. The meeting will discuss the prevention of the current wave of terrorism while military officials will give a briefing on terrorism and the situation on the Afghan border.
A briefing will be given on the implementation of the National Action Plan in the meeting of the National Security Committee.
