Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal information minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had advised former prime minister Imran Khan many times that Prime Minister House was not safe for important discussions.

Fawad was talking to a private TV channel. He further added that the Army Chief General Bajwa had repeatedly suggested Imran Khan debug the PM House by using the latest technology as it wasn’t safe to talk there.

He said that General Bajwa had told Imran Khan that the points being discussed in the PM House were recorded and then leaked later. COAS also told Imran that Nawaz Sharif used to come out of the PM House when he wanted to talk on some important matter, Fawad added.

PTI leader also said that according to him army had secured the rooms of GHQ by using state-of-the-art technology when General Ashfaq Kiani was army chief.

He also said that he would not be surprised if it would be found in the investigation that the hacking was being done from abroad; further adding that ‘The Guardian’ had revealed in its article that the Indian government had contracted an Israeli company for the hacking of 29 telephone numbers including the number of then PM Imran Khan.

He emphasized that regardless of who is the PM; Shehbaz, Nawaz or Imran; it was definitely unacceptable that PM’s office was hacked.

He repeated the demand that there should be conducted an inquiry into the matter of cypher; questioning why the government and the Supreme Court had been reluctant to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

So far, different audio leaks have been released by the hacker that allegedly includes voices of PM Shehbaz Sharif, former PM Imran Khan, PML-N vice president Mariam Nawaz, principal secretaries of the PM and key federal ministers.

The interior minister Rana Sanaullah said yesterday that a forensic audit will be conducted of leaked audios of PM Shehbaz Sharif and PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
