Constables must take a day off for efficiency: DIG Operations Lahore

Ahsan Younis asks police personnel to treat aggrieved citizens respectfully

Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Ahsan Younis on Wednesday said that police officers must ensure that constables got a day off during the week to increase their efficiency.

Younis addressed a meeting of constables of all police stations and told police officers to ensure welfare of police personnel on a priority basis.

In the meeting, Younis also asked constables to treat honorable citizens with good mannerism, as disrespect would not be tolerated at all.

The DIG Operations ordered them to optimally facilitate victims who came to the police station and further asked police personnel to register FIRs promptly as per SOPs after preliminary investigation.

He also ordered them to ensure timely completion of all 25 police registers and uploading of inquiry report daily.

“Corruption and abuse of power is not tolerated at all. Do not humiliate people, fear from Allah,” the DIG Operations warned all constables. “Perform duties for the pleasure of Allah and not me.”
