Court sends Fawad Chaudry to Jail on Judicial remand

Islamabad Court has sent Former federal information minister Fawad Chaudhry to jail on judicial remand.

Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja gave the ruling and sent the PTI leader to Adiala jail on judicial remand following the completion of his physical remand.

The court also denied a police petition asking for an extension of the physical remand.
The former minister of information was relocated back to the federal capital earlier today following the completion of his photogrammetry test at a forensic facility in Lahore.

Fawad’s attorney Babar Awan asked Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja to resume the case hearing early at the beginning of today’s session.

After finishing his medical examination, the judge then instructed the police to represent the PTI leader at 11:30 am.

Earlier last week After a search of his Lahore house, Fawad was taken into custody.

According to the police investigation, he was charged with making televised comments that harassed and intimidated members of the electoral commission and their families.

He was further accused of attempting to obstruct the state’s election process.
