COVID claims two more lives

Pakistan recorded 251 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, bringing the overall number of confirmed cases to 1,569,788, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

The new infections were detected after diagnostic testing was performed on 17,207 samples. A total of 30,588 people have died of Covid-19, with two more deaths reported on Friday, said the ministry. There are 110 patients who are in critical condition in the country.

Meanwhile, as many as 66 new cases were confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the updates shared by the Health Department, the province has 722 active cases while 30 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours. As many as 2,833 tests were conducted, out of which 66 were positive with the coronavirus symptoms.
