After Israel’s attack on the Palestinian enclave began on Friday, the civil defense in Gaza declared a state of emergency in the area.

The governor of Jerusalem claimed that 26 groups of Israeli settlers have stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound since morning.

He said this brings the number of Israeli settlers entering the compound on Sunday to 1,351.

A spokesperson from the civil defense, during a press conference said, “We have dealt with the situation with courage, conducting 21 missions since the start of the assault on Gaza.”

Yesterday the occupation destroyed residential buildings without caring about women, children, or the elderly.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned that Israel’s attacks on Gaza in the last few days would lead to “a dangerous escalation and waves of violence”.

In a statement released on Twitter, the ministry said, “Israeli provocative actions are part of ongoing attempts to change the historical and legal situation of Al Aqsa Mosque.”
