DEC Thatta appoints dead teacher as presiding officer

A dumbfounded decision came from District Election Commission Thatta when it appointed a deceased teacher as presiding officer of a polling station for upcoming local body elections through a notification issued on Monday.

According to information gathered by Minute Mirror, DEC Thatta Azrah Mahesar issued a letter to Pirano Khan Baloch asking him to report on the day of the election as the presiding officer at the Polling station at Govt Girls High School Makli but to our utter surprise, Pirano Baloch was a teacher who met his creator two years back.

When contacted by the officials of the district education department they held that they had provided accurate information about the teachers serving in the district but despite that DEC took an out-of-way decision that has bamboozled everyone. They demanded action against DEC Thatta for sheer negligence.
