Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan’s economy stood at number 46 today and still they have been begging from other countries.

In a statement, Ishaq Dar said that the opposition has been continuously saying that the country will default but that is a wrong approach. He added that first, they used to tell the world that Pakistan was corrupt and then they were hoping for investment.

He said that he was treated like a terrorist. He said that he had spent five years in exile because of making fiscal discipline. He also said that they had a meeting yesterday that wheat was being smuggled from Pakistan which has to be stopped on a war footing.

The Finance Minister said that even in 2013 the world used to say that the country will default but they had given the budget five days of hard work and saved the country from default. He said that they had completed their program from 2013 to 2016 which has happened only once in the history of the country.

He further said that this passing period was the darkest period in the country in terms of the economy so further experimenting wasn’t possible anymore. He said that there was no possibility of any default but every effort has to be made to improve the country’s economy keeping the intention high.

The Finance Minister further said that they have to improve the macroeconomic indicators because the rich get loans waived here while the assets behind several thousand of poor widowed women were frozen.
